Marine Fuels
Fuels used for boats that are classified into distillates and residuals. The technical specifications are in accordance with the international standard ISO 8217.
Distilled: Marine Gas Oil (MGO) or Marine Use Diesel 2
Is used in the engines of ships, especially in fishing boats.
Marine diesel N° 2
Residuals: Marine Fuels (MF or IFO)
These are produced mixing Diesel 2 and Industrial Oil 6 in different proportions, according to the required quality grade. They are classified according to viscosity.
The most commonly used residual Marine Fuels are:IFO-180 and IFO-380, although other grades are produced, according to the requirements of the clients. These products are generally used in the boilers of the ships.
