Young people from Loreto communities access Petroperú Scholarship

As on previous occasions, and on a permanent basis, Petroperú promotes the technical training of young students from the communities surrounding the Iquitos Refinery and settled along the pipeline, through the “Petroperú Scholarship” Social Management program.

This program provides full scholarships to 40 students from more than a dozen communities in the Loreto region in the careers of Business Administration, Official Tourism Guide and Automotive Mechanics, among others, dictated by Servicio Nacional de Adiestramiento en Trabajos Industriales (National Industrial Work Training Service – SENATI).

The study period –between 2022 and 2025– includes a study pension, personal protective equipment, tutoring, an internship process in companies related to their careers and, finally, the degree.

In order to carry out this ambitious program, the State company, through its community relations officers, investigated and examined the various training and development options, involving the leaders of various communities, with whom the first process was even developed. of selection. All this framed in Petroperú’s 2022 Relationship Plan.

The students from the communities benefiting from this program come from various population centers, such as Barrio Florido, Centro Arenal, Santa Clara Zone I, II and III, Costanera, Independencia, Astoria, Santa Clotilde, El Milagro and Santo Tomás, among others.
