Women from Talara successfully conclude training in gastronomy and computer science
Forty residents of the Sacobsa urbanization successfully completed the free training in gastronomy and computer science that Petroperú implemented in October 2022 with the aim of increasing their employability and entrepreneurial capacity.
The participants received a certificate of participation from SENATI, an educational institution contracted by the state company to develop this training that lasted 240 hours of theoretical and practical training, with permanent evaluations that were passed by the participants.
The graduates of the gastronomy course learned various types of cuisine, such as Creole, fusion and international, as well as pastry, cocktails, among others; while those in the computer course received training in Microsoft Office applications, digital marketing and electronic communication, reinforcing their autonomy in the use of new technologies.
It is important to mention that this program carried out by Petroperú as part of its social management activities, contemplated the delivery of manuals and study material, an accident policy, as well as mobility, uniforms, and personal protection equipment for all the beneficiaries.
With the technical-productive training of the residents of the Sacobsa urbanization, area of influence of the construction work of the electrical transmission line of the Talara Refinery Modernization Project (PMRT), Petroperú reaffirms its commitment to the local population, helping to promote their business initiatives and generating employment or self-employment options that have a positive impact on their quality of life and their environment.
