Winning works of the 2022 Copé Award will be presented at the Huancayo Book Fair
Petroperú will hold a conversation with the most recent winners of the Copé Award literary contest at the XIII Huancayo International Book Fair - FELIZH 2023, which runs from June 19 to July 2 on the esplanade of Plaza Huamanmarca, attracting the attention of locals and visitors.
The activity will take place this Friday, June 23 at 7:00 p.m. and will include the participation of David Orlando Del Águila, Copé Gold Award winner of the XXIII Short Story Biennial, and Jorge Valenzuela Garcés, Copé Gold Award winner of the VIII Essay Biennial. The moderation will be in charge of the writer Jaidith Soto Caraballo.
As in previous editions, Petroperú will participate as a sponsor of this cultural event in the center of the country that promotes reading and encourages dialogue among the various participants in the book ecosystem. Likewise, the company will sponsor the 4th Latin American Meeting of Women Writers - ELE, which will take place from June 26 to 28 in the city of Huancayo, where writers from Junín (Huancayo, Jauja, San Gerónimo de Tunán, Masma, Concepción, Tarma, Chanchamayo, etc.), Huancavelica, Pasco, Arequipa, Puno, Ica and Lima, among other regions; as well as writers from Colombia and Mexico.
FELIZH 2023 is free to enter and has a program that includes 115 activities, 7 invited countries and more than 350 participants who will participate in book and magazine presentations, conferences, tributes, awards, round tables, poetry recitals, dances, musical evenings, plays, oral narratives and storytelling, audiovisuals, children's activities and more.
As part of its cultural activities in the center of the country, Petroperú will carry out -in parallel- the delivery of Copé book packs to school libraries in Junín and Huancavelica, thanks to its publication distribution plan that annually benefits students and teachers of the country, promoting and reinforcing the habit of reading and disseminating the book.
All these Petroperú activities are carried out as part of its Cultural Policy and the permanent commitment to promote research and literary creation in the country, promoting new writers and consolidating experienced ones, thus strengthening reading at the national level.
