Winners of the Copé 2017 Award organized by PETROPERÚ

- Hugo Yuen Cárdenas won the Copé Oro Award in the VI Novel Biennial.
- Marco Antonio Quijano, won the Copé Oro Award in the XVIII Poetry Biennial.
- The award ceremony will take place on December 6 at PETROPERU.
Winners of the Copé 2017 Award  organized by PETROPERÚ

The writer Hugo Antonio Yuen Cárdenas was the winner of the VI Novel Biennial "Copé Award 2017", organized by PETROPERU, with the work "El laberinto de los endriagos". Alberto Juan Musso Vento with his work "El gallo de Candamo" and Max Daniel Crespo Loayza, with "La hora del montonero" were distinguished with honorable mentions.

Francesca Denegri Álvarez Calderón, representing the Ministry of Culture; Antonio González Montes, for the Peruvian Academy of Language; Marcel Martín Velázquez Castro, for the Universidad Nacional de San Marcos and Alonso Cueto Caballero, for the Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Peru (PUCP), as well as Ricardo González Vigil, representing PETROPERU, were part of the jury that evaluated and rated the works .

On the other hand, " Colección privada o los colores ocultos de la turbación", by Marco Antonio Quijano Miranda, won the Copé ORO Prize at the XVIII Poetry Biennial. The Copé PLATA Prize, in this category, went to Ernesto Benigno Zumarán Alvítez, for his work "La noche y su sombra". Alejandro Enrico Susti Gonzales won the Copé BRONCE Award for " Bajo la mancha azul del cielo".

Jorge Valenzuela Garcés, from the Ministry of Culture; Camilo Fernández Cozman of the Peruvian Academy of Language; Guisela Joanne Gonzales Fernández, from the Universidad Nacional de San Marcos; Mario Montalbetti Solari, from PUCP and Pedro Cateriano Delgado, from our Company, were part of the strict jury in this category.

The members of the jury coincided in highlighting the particularity and originality of the winning works, which, they said, boast an amazing literary quality.

The VI Novel Biennial and the XVIII Poetry Biennial "Copé Award 2017" opened their call in January 2017, ending the date of receipt of works on August 11.

According to the rules of the contest, the winning works of Gold, Silver and Bronze will be published. The winners will receive, in addition to the cash prize, a trophy and a diploma. In the case of honorable mentions and finalists of both genres, they will receive a diploma.

The awards ceremony will be held on December 6 at 7.30 pm, at the PETROPERU Auditorium, Av. Enrique Canaval Moreyra 150, San Isidro, date on which the call for the Copé 2018 Award for the essay categories will also be announced.
