We sponsor students in an international hydrocarbon contest

As a way to promote knowledge of the hydrocarbons industry in the region, PETROPERU sponsored the participation of a delegation of three students from the Universidad Nacional de Ingenieria (UNI) in the prestigious international contest "Petrobowl International 2018 & SPE Trinidad and Tobago Section 2018 Energy Resources Conference ", the most important in the sector.

The students, who participated in this contest and obtained the third place, are Joseph Felix Arroyo Cristobal, Miguel Angel Pinto Ponce and Heller Pastor Alberca Cervantes, the latter is currently a PETROPERU intern. They were chosen by UNI to represent the country considering its academic excellence and previous experience in similar events.

This contest, which was held from June 24 to 27 in the city of Port of Spain, in Trinidad and Tobago, is organized by the Society Petroleum of Engineer (SPE) and aims to share acquired knowledge, exchange technical experiences and case studies , as well as to know new technologies in the exploration and production sector of the hydrocarbon industry.

This academic meeting is considered the most important in the hydrocarbons industry due to its international reach and prestige, as well as its rigorous evaluation of technical and non-technical knowledge related to the oil industry.

It is worth mentioning that it is the fourth time that UNI students participate representing Peru in this competition in which representatives of diverse and prestigious universities from South America and the Caribbean compete.
