We promote the prevention of family violence in neighborhoods of Villa el Salvador
With the participation of an important group of parents from Villa El Salvador (VES), near the Conchan Refinery, the program "Convivencia sin violencia 2018" (“Coexistence without violence 2018), promoted by PETROPERU, was closed yesterday, which aimed at improving the inter-family relations among neighbors close to our facilities.
The program, which had the participation of more than 150 residents of 19 HS, aimed at improving relationships within homes, promoting dialogue and achieving healthier parenting styles among all family members.
The participants, divided into four groups, attended six workshops where they were taught, through dynamics with psychologists, how to maintain a better coexistence in the home. Legal advice was also provided by lawyers specializing in family violence to find out about their duties and rights, as well as the appropriate way to file complaints.
During the closing, held at the educational institution Jesus de Nazareth of VES, with the participation of parents and teachers, these last thanked PETROPERU for its initiative to promote homes free of violence, which has had a positive impact on their lives.
Maria Zeña, a mother and participant of the workshops, greeted this important support on behalf of the community, since, she said, it will allow many women in the area to empower themselves, improve their self-esteem and strengthen good relationships with their families.
