We promote business entrepreneurship in the neighbors of Villa El Salvador
After participating in the Conchán Refinery Economic Entrepreneurship Program, a group of residents from Villa El Salvador (VES), near the facility, participated in the "Make Your Business Reality" contest as a way to complete their business training.
The program, under the leadership of the organization Perspektiva, provided technical learning and personalized advice to 91 participants, among young people and adults of limited resources of VES, in order to improve their business skills and empower them in the development and strengthening of small businesses.
Of the 65 projects presented, ten were chosen to turn them into reality through the delivery of a seed capital that allows them to start their business. These business plans were selected based on economic potential, viability, creativity, innovation and market, among other criteria.
It should be noted that the training program will also provide technical support to the winners throughout the implementation of their business plans in order to guide them in the investment process and strengthening them.
Clara Indacochea, Head of Community Relations of PETROPERU, participated in the award ceremony; Bady Acuña, executive director of Perspektiva and Oscar Cárdenas, Deputy Manager of Economic Development of the Municipality of VES. Mamerto Palomino was also present on behalf of the Municipality of Lima.
These economic development projects seek to improve the business skills of the population close to the PETROPERU facilities, giving them the opportunity to improve their income by implementing their own business initiatives.
