We present the third tome of Amazonas Milenary Route at FIL Lima 2018

Before an interested public to know more about our Amazon, PETROPERU presented the new publication of its Ediciones Copé label, "Amazonas Ruta Milnaria III" by the compiler Aldo Bolaños, at the International Book Fair of Lima (FIL LIMA) 2018.

This interesting publication was commented by the renowned geographer Pedro Tipula, who highlighted that this work allows a better understanding of the Amazon. "You have to value it beyond a basin, but as what it is, culture and community," he said.

The author of the book, Aldo Bolaños, thanked PETROPERU for its commitment to the culture that has made possible this third installment that brings knowledge of this ancient land to the public, while noting that this editorial effort also serves as an example for others countries in the region support similar projects.

In turn, Carlos Del Águila, Head of Cultural Management of PETROPERU, highlighted the decades-long work of the company to promote education, art and culture and, above all, promote them in different cities of the country.

About the book

In this third volume, from the series of the same title and author, multidisciplinary research works are compiled that allow to identify the millennial knowledge of the Amazonian peoples through their landscapes, objects and their relationship with the environment.

The work, which is composed of 24 new texts that address the complex concept called "an Amazonian place", significantly complements the knowledge already disclosed in previous deliveries. This editorial effort has already been successfully presented in Iquitos and Pucallpa, as part of the company's cultural policy with the communities of the region.

With these contributions, PETROPERU contributes to the debate and collective reflection to look at the Amazon from a more analytical point of view, thus contributing to spread the Amazonian culture and promote the progress of the peoples that inhabit it.

The next presentations will be made on August 2 and 3. First with the winning works of the Copé 2017 Prize, and with the third edition of "The Great Inca Route - El Qhapaq Ñan, respectively.
