Water project underway for the benefit of more than three thousand residents

The more than three thousand residents of the Barrio Florido, Santa Clara Zone I and Zone II populated centers, located on the banks of the Amazon River and close to the Iquitos Refinery, will be able to count on potable water, thanks to the project that will be implemented by the District Municipality of Punchana and Petroperu.

This important project, which will be executed in a period of approximately two months, includes the improvement of the Barrio Florido water plant and the construction of the Santa Clara I and II water systems, allowing residents of the populated centers they can count on liquid element for their daily activities.

To start the work to be carried out by the district municipality of Punchana, Petroperu delivered all the necessary materials for this project that will contribute to health care and the improvement of the quality of life of the benefited residents.

Access to drinking water will help to cope with COVID-19 and reduce the presence of parasitic diseases in the inhabitants of these communities, especially in the children of these communities.
