VES health centers implement libraries thanks to PETROPERÚ

Various health centers in the district of Villa El Salvador are setting up, for the first time in their history, libraries inside their establishments. This is thanks to the support of PETROPERÚ, which delivered packs containing bibliographic material from COPÉ Ediciones, as part of its plan to distribute books to various levels of the State.

The Health Center "Heroes del Cenepa"; the “Brisas de Pachacamac” Medical Post and the “Virgen de las Mercedes” Mental Health Center received dozens of copies from officials of the state company, whose titles include “21 Relatos de la Independencia”, “Amazonas Ruta Milenaria” and " Pueblos y Culturas del Perú Antiguo", among others.

This initiative fundamentally seeks to offer an alternative to entertain and provide knowledge to patients and health personnel; simultaneously seeking to encourage reading from healthcare areas. In this way, users have a specific space for them to have access to copies for reading.

The project is part of PETROPERÚ's Public Library Implementation Program and will gradually be replicated in other health facilities in Lurín and Pachacamac, areas of influence of the Conchán Refinery.

Healthcare personnel from these institutions agreed to highlight the work of the State company in promoting reading in our country, committing to promote it among users, bringing culture closer to their neighbors and collaborating with their intellectual training.
