Two sectors of the North Peruvian Pipeline are in operation

The operations in the North Peruvian Pipeline (ONP) of PETROPERU are proceeding with total normality in sections I and II, from Station 1, in San José de Saramuro, Loreto on to the margins of the Marañón River, to the Terminal Station Bayóvar, in Piura.

However, the North Branch (ORN) remains unable to operate because the leaders of the community of Mayuriaga - despite the repeated efforts of dialogue with the participation of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) - prevent technicians from the state oil company from entering the area to repair the pipeline, cut last November 27 and causing a spill of oil that has been affecting the ecosystem for 85 days; without it being possible to start cleaning and environmental remediation works.

It should be noted that PETROPERU intervenes as an articulator and support entity for the different sectors of the State for the development of projects under the leadership of the PCM. In addition, the Social Responsibility projects that the Company develops with the communities adjacent to the ONP.
