To the public opinion of Ucayali
In light of the recent journalistic reports that tell of a supposed shortage, PETROPERU reports the following:
- PETROPERÚ guarantees and has always guaranteed the supply of fuels in the Ucayali region, renewing its commitment with regards to regularity, quantity and quality, and competitive prices. In addition, it has contingency plans to ensure the supply of the product in Pucallpa against the possibility of temporary closures of land or river routes of access to the city.
- It should be clarified that the contract that PETROPERÚ has with the CEPSA Company for the purchase of crude oil is not exclusive, that is, that this company is free to sell its product to other operators, which shows the willingness of PETROPERU to favor competition and the free market in the country.
- The Pucallpa refinery is under the exclusive administration of Maple under a lease contract, so any business or labor problems that exist, is up to the company to solve on its own.
- Finally, PETROPERU regrets the employment situation generated in the refinery managed by Maple, so it wishes that the workers and their families are not affected by the business decisions of their employer, who through the fulfilment of the delivery of the procedure for Service of Reception, Storage and Dispatch (RAD) to PETROPERU, has an alternative to overcome the present conjuncture.
