The open call for the Cope 2018 Award will close on august 10

The sign-ups for the XX Story Biennial and the VI Essay Biennial "2018 Copé Award" close on August 10; This was announced by the Head of the Cultural Management Unit of PETROPERU, Carlos Del Águila Chávez, in an interview conducted on the " Qué hacer" program broadcast by Radio Nacional.

The registration period for the Copé Award closes on August 10. The writers in the country can leave their works in the offices of PETROPERU, the Peruvian residents abroad they will be able to deliver their envelopes in the diplomatic missions of Peru (embassies, consulates, etc.) closest to their homes.

As every year, the Qualifying Jury of the 2018 Copé Award will be made up of a representative of the following institutions: Ministry of Culture, Peruvian Academy of Language, Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos and PETROPERU.

Del Águila highlighted that, since its launch in 1979, the Copé Award reflects the corporate responsibility of PETROPERU and its commitment to the promotion of literary creation, both for the dissemination of new writers and for the quality achieved by the winning works.

In this regard, he highlighted the recent presentation of the winners of the VI Novel Biennial and XVII Poetry Biennial 2017 Copé Award in the International Book Fair of Lima which were published under the seal Copé Ediciones.
