The new Talara Refinery marks a milestone, producing more than 52 million barrels of fuel.
- The NRT guarantees the country's energy security by producing environmentally friendly fuels of the highest quality.

The Talara Refinery continues to operate efficiently, producing high-quality fuels through its 16 processing units and five auxiliary unit packages. Since its commissioning, production has reached 52.8 million barrels of liquid fuels and derivatives. This performance was verified by the Petroperú Board of Directors during its decentralized session held on Thursday, April 3, at the facilities of this modern refining complex.
The meeting, led by the Chairman of the Board, Dr. Alejandro Narváez Liceras, was attended by all its members and the General Manager, Eng. Oscar Vera Gargurevich.
During the working visit, the officials also toured the main processing units, such as the Catalytic Cracking Unit and the Flexicoking Unit, and verified the compliance and safety of the tests in the Talara Refinery's modern laboratory. “This working visit is part of the decentralized board meeting program that will be carried out at our operations, allowing us to oversee the company's operational sustainability. The New Talara Refinery has been playing an important role in fuel production through the automation of the various processes carried out, which allows us to fulfill our commitment to profitability and efficiency, bringing quality fuels to the most remote areas of Peru,” said Alejandro Narváez Liceras, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petroperú.
Petroperú reaffirms that it continues its recovery process with objectives aimed at market recovery and achieving operational and financial sustainability.
