The Ministry of Labor (MTPE) declares the strike called by Petroperú unions inadmissible.

Regarding the call for a 48-hour strike by workers affiliated with the eleven unions that make up the Petroperú S.A. union group, we report the following:

  • The Ministry of Labor and Employment Promotion (MTPE) has declared the 48-hour strike called by Petroperú unions, scheduled to begin at midnight on April 21, 2025, inadmissible.
  • Director General Resolution No. 000057-2025-MTPE/2/14 is motivated by noncompliance with the legal requirements established in paragraphs b) and c) of Article 73 of the Consolidated Consolidated Text of the Collective Labor Relations Law (LRCT), as well as the provisions of the first, second, and last paragraphs of paragraph a) and paragraphs b) and c) of Article 65 of the LRCT Regulations.
  • Petroperú reaffirms its commitment to continue strengthening its management and good corporate governance as part of the process to improve the company's operational, financial, and sustainable efficiency.
