The Management of PETROPERÚ will present a proposal for a new salary policy

The Management of PETROPERÚ will present a proposal for a new salary policy

In relation to a recent journalistic note from the Epicentro portal on the remuneration of PETROPERÚ's Management team, we report the following:

  1. We regret that previous administrations of the Company have not properly addressed the request for information related to PETROPERÚ's Salary Policy, made by the aforementioned media outlet in August 2021, within the framework of the Law on Transparency and Access to Public Information. It should be noted that, in May 2022, the delivery of the information has been completed, within the framework of the corresponding regulations.
  2. Regarding the Salary Policy approved by the Board of Directors that was in office in April 2021 and mentioned in the note, to date, the current Administration of PETROPERÚ is preparing a proposal to modify the salary scale of management personnel, in the framework of guidelines provided by the National Fund for Financing State Business Activity (FONAFE).
  3. It is important to note that the current managers who are in charge are career personnel who do not receive the salaries of the managerial staff established in the Salary Scale approved in 2021, maintaining the salary levels of the lower-level positions they covered. as holders before occupying the positions of Management and Confidence.
  4. Likewise, we specify that the financial facility of US$ 750 million granted by the Ministry of Economy and Finance to the Company is solely and exclusively to pay for imports of crude oil and derivatives, in order to guarantee the supply of fuel to the country. Said loan is not intended for remuneration payments, nor for any other purpose than that already mentioned.
  5. The new Administration of PETROPERÚ is committed to transparency and the recovery of trust in its management. In this sense, it will soon report its new Salary Scale once it is approved by the Board of Directors and the General Shareholders' Meeting.
