The Copa Poliducto 2018 championship began

Much joy and enthusiasm characterized the inaugural day of the soccer championship "Copa Poliducto 2018", in which people from more than 10 communities surrounding the Iquitos refinery from PETROPERU, such as Santa Clara I, Barrio Florido, Santa Clotilde, Astoria, Costanera, El Milagro, Independencia, Barrio Porvenir and Centro Arenal, among others, participate.

The sports event, which for a decade has been organized by the state oil company and which -in this occasion, attracted the interest of almost a thousand spectators- seeks to strengthen, through the promotion of sport, the relationships it has with its stakeholders.

At the opening ceremony was present Gaspar Diaz Tello, Sub Manager Refinery Selva, area responsible for organizing the event. He motivated the teams to live a clean and integration championship, in order to meet the objectives outlined in the contest, highlighting the participation, for the first time, of the Picuro Yacu community, as well as the presence of two teams of ladies.

The event will take place every Sunday in August and is scheduled to end on September 2, the date on which the teams that obtain the first three places will be awarded.
