The PETROPERÚ Board of Directors held its second decentralized session at the Iquitos Refinery, where its members also toured the industrial facilities and spoke with the workers of this important operation of the state company.

The working visit included the participation of the Chairman of the Board, Mario Contreras Ibárcena, the directors Luis Rafael Zoeger Núñez, Juan Pari Choquecota, Óscar Vera Gargurevich, as well as the Managing Director, Hugo Chávez Arévalo, and the Manager of the Selva Refining Department, Gaspar Díaz Tello.

During the visit, the members of the Board of Directors toured the Iquitos Refinery industrial facilities and visited the Sales Plant, a PETROPERÚ operation that has just turned 39, supplying fuels, uninterruptedly, to Loreto, San Martín and Ucayali.

Likewise, the Board of Directors and the General Management will promote the projects that are nearing completion, among which are the “Fire Fighting System in Fuel Tanks” and the “In-Line Mixing System”, which increases the storage capacity of the raw received.

In dialogue with the workers, they highlighted the enormous human and professional potential of the Company's personnel and the strategic role that each one of them fulfills in achieving PETROPERÚ's objectives.

It should be remembered that the first decentralized session of the Board of Directors was held last October, at the Talara Refinery facilities, where they confirmed the final construction work of the New Talara Refinery, which will begin operations in April 2022.

The Board of Directors has informed that it will continue with the development of decentralized sessions, in the different headquarters that the company has at the national level, which contributes to the management of each operation, maintaining a closeness with its workers and continuing to strengthen PETROPERÚ.
