The Bayóvar Terminal achieves certifications in environmental management and safety
The Bayóvar Terminal, of Petroperú, obtained the certification of the Environmental Management System under the ISO 14001 standard and the Occupational Health and Safety Management System of the ISO 45001 standard. In addition, it satisfactorily passed the second follow-up external audit of the certification of the Quality Management System, based on the ISO 9001:2015 standard for the storage and dispatch processes of liquid hydrocarbons, which includes basic port services.
These regulations - based on international standards - allow the state oil company to maintain its commitment to the continuous improvement of organizations and excellence in the management of the quality of the service it provides, which allows mitigating the risks associated with the activity, carrying out a adequate environmental treatment and care for the environment.
The external audit, carried out by the company SGS of Peru, included the inspection of the dock, tank yard, control room, laboratory and offices, where the loading and unloading processes of hydrocarbons, the storage of crude oil, the control of quality of service and maintenance and inspection tasks.
The administrative activities of oil movement that plan the transportation of crude oil were also supervised, obtaining “zero findings” in the planning, execution, evaluation and continuous improvement efforts.
With this successful result, Petroperú highlights the commitment and effort of its workers, as well as the company's support to carry out operations safely and efficiently, protecting the environment and complying with international standards.
