The 10 detained workers are released, and occupiers withdraw from Morona Station of the North Peruvian Pipeline, in Loreto

PETROPERÚ addresses the public opinion to report the following:

  1. After negotiations between PETROPERÚ and the leaders Antoni Luna Cachique, Apu of the Fernando Rosas community, and Witson Rios Yumbato, President of the Fernando Rosas Federation, the removal of the occupants of the Morona Station of the North Peruvian Pipeline and the liberation of the of the 10 workers retained, 3 of them from the state oil company, was carried out.
  2. In the conversations, the communal authorities were accompanied by Augusto Unkum Tsakin (Vice Apu), Nora Peña Cachique (member) and Saul Unkum Mando (resident). And these were carried out with the intermediation of representatives of the Ombudsman's Office, the Ministry of Energy and Mines, the Ministry of Culture and the Presidency of the Council of Ministers,
  3. At the same time, it has been agreed to hold a virtual meeting with high-level officials next Thursday, March 18, at 3:00 pm, in which PETROPERÚ and representatives of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Ministry of Energy and Mines, Ministry of Culture, Ombudsman's Office and other authorities will participate.
  4. PETROPERÚ welcomes having reached this agreement in a peaceful manner, establishing remote communication channels to overcome the difficulties generated by the pandemic and travel the route of generating more progress and development for the community.
  5. That is why PETROPERÚ has been coordinating the meeting scheduled for next Thursday, March 18, which would be held remotely.
