Talara workers are trained in labor issues by the OIPC
Taking into account the good results obtained in the Labor Orientation Program developed in 2021, which was attended by 353 users in its different modules, the Information and Citizen Participation Office (OIPC) of the Talara Refinery Modernization Project (PMRT) carried out the second edition of the program seeking to impact more local workers.
In its second edition, in addition to being aimed mainly at PMRT workers and former workers, former SENATI and SENCICO graduates from the Talar province also participated, as well as users of the OIPC who presented a complaint, claim or request for information related to topics labor.
The participants received theoretical and practical knowledge in labor matters, receiving support and accompaniment in the development of their personal, social and labor skills that allow them to access and/or remain in their occupation; in addition to providing them with information to recognize, explain and apply the regulations that govern Labor Law in Peru.
In the 4 modules executed in the second edition of this program, more than 400 attendances have been registered, impacting more than 120 Talareños who were trained on issues of employment contracts, labor benefits, social security, work conciliation, family life and industrial relationships. Users who passed the evaluations required within the program received a free certificate for 8 academic hours.
With this and other initiatives, the OIPC reaffirms its commitment to the Talar community by providing training and employment programs to strengthen their skills and knowledge.
