Talara teachers sucessfully ended the “Quality Schools” program

220 teachers from the province of Talara successfully completed the first year of training of the educational program “Quality Schools” that was implemented in 2019 thanks to the strategic alliance between PETROPERU, Universidad Privada Cayetano Heredia (UPCH) and the Local Executive Unit (UGEL) Talara.

At the closing ceremony, the Corporate Manager of Social Management and Communications of PETROPERU, Beatriz Alva Hart, highlighted the commitment of teachers who have participated in this program, sacrificing their free time, in order to strengthen their skills for teaching the elementary courses of mathematics and communication.

The "Quality Schools" program will last three years and includes the evaluation and ongoing training of teachers at the primary level, benefiting 5,679 students from 22 educational institutions in the province of Talara. At the end of it, the participating teachers will be certified by the UPCH.

The director of UGEL Talara, Carmelita Abad Meca, greeted this initiative of PETROPERU, an important strategic ally in the province of Talara, where thanks to this program and other initiatives implemented, the teachers' career has been revalued and contributing significantly in the education of the Talara schoolchildren. It also motivated teachers to move forward during the next two years to achieve quality schools that work hand in hand with the community.

In this way, PETROPERU continues its commitment to the education of children located in the towns near its operations, developing skills and strengthening their capabilities. This activity is part of the Social Management Plan of the Company.
