Talara locals will participate in industrial emergency drills
With the participation of residents, this Monday, April 15 and Tuesday, April 16, Petroperú will carry out two top-level industrial emergency drills, in the Northern Cone and the city center, in order to strengthen the culture of prevention in the population located in the area of influence of the Talara Refinery.
The aforementioned training activities, which are part of the “Preventing Together” program, will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will allow residents to identify alerts, meeting points and evacuation routes in the face of scenarios with dangers such as fires and explosions in great magnitude that exceeds the limits of the industrial area of the refining complex.
These drills complement the training that is being carried out so that residents know how to act before, during and after a possible industrial emergency and strengthen the culture of prevention through the formation of emergency brigades.
Petroperú reminded the residents that it is important to have their participation in both the drills and the training that are being carried out to strengthen the culture of prevention that will allow them to face possible emergencies in the city, forming brigades and having the concentration points and routes identified. evacuation.
Upon hearing the sound of the sirens at the start of the drill, on Monday the 15th, the residents of the Northern Cone must locate themselves at the meeting points: Plazuela El Pescador and the San Judas Tadeo sports complex. Meanwhile, on Tuesday the 16th, the residents of the center will do the same in Plaza Grau, Niño Héroe park, Av. B roundabout and Los Vencedores park.
