Talara has a renovated tourist viewing point Jesús Petrolero
As part of its social commitments, Petroperú handed over to the Provincial Municipality of Talara the renovated Jesús Petrolero park and viewpoint for the enjoyment of the residents, which will soon be included in the tourist circuit of the Piura region.
At the ceremony, the municipal authority, as well as the representatives of the residents of the Popular Urbanization and Los Pinos, thanked the state company for this contribution that reaffirms its commitment to the city and its development.
The project was carried out in compliance with the commitments of the Local Development Support Program of the Petroperú Community Relations Plan in Talara and in coordination with the local municipality.
The works, carried out with local labor, included the restoration of the imposing Jesús Petrolero monument, for which the participation of the sculptor Alfredo Cubas was counted on.
In addition, benches, perimeter parapets, curbs and the park platform were rehabilitated and refurbished. Painting and the installation of solar lighting in the park and the monument were also carried out.
Photography contest and family festival
During the opening ceremony, Petroperú awarded Delcy Giuliana Tineo Guerrero, who won first place in the photography contest “Customs, traditions and tourist attractions of Pariñas”.
Also, in the recovered public space, the neighbors were able to appreciate the best images captured by the teenagers and young people from Talara who participated in this contest.
Likewise, the neighbors were able to participate in the free-entry family festival with live music performances, a fair of local businesses and games, as well as the possibility of going up to the renovated viewpoint of the City of Black Gold.
