Sunafil verified that Petroperú complied with labor obligations in favor of the former worker
Petroperú addresses public opinion to specify the information disseminated in a news web portal:
- Ms. Yasmín Flores Unzaga was not fired from the company. Her employment relationship culminated upon the expiration of her fixed-term contract for a specific service on December 22, 2021, which was valid for one year.
- Petroperú has complied with all of its obligations towards Mrs. Flores Unzaga, as stated in the letter that was sent informing her about the payment of her social benefits at the end of the period of her specific fixed-term contract.
- Likewise, it is false that Petroperú did not want to recognize the payments for pre- and post-natal rest, which occurred in the months of October and November 2021, as stated in the respective payment slips.
- It should be noted that Petroperú, in full compliance with labor regulations, has sent the supporting information to the National Superintendence of Labor Inspection (Sunafil), an institution that through its inspection report dated June 16, 2022, concluded that there were no non-compliances detected on the part of Petroperú, regarding the case of Mrs. Flores Unzaga.
- Petroperú reiterates that it complies with the labor laws in force in the country, safeguards the rights of workers and responds with total transparency to the information requirements of the competent authorities.
