The characters, performances and staging captivated the hundreds of attendees at the auditoriumof the PETROPERU Cultural Center, the stage of "Monologos Femeninos" (Femenine Monologues), a play that seeks to promote recognition of the value of women worldwide.

Its protagonists, Elena Pasapera, Liliana Miranda, Silvia Ruiz and Marita Palomino showed, on stage, a lively characterization of their characters: Emma Bovary, of the famous novel "Madame Bovary"; Rosita, from the play "Doña Rosita, la Soltera", by Federico García Lorca; the writer Virginia Woolf and the flamenco "bailaora", Lola Flores.

They showed the enthusiast public a great performance for the more than an hour and a half that the show lasted, completely free.

The stage play was directed by the poet and educator Ana María García, director in Peru of the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED) of Spain; and allowed attendees a moment of relaxation, but also of awareness and reflection on the condition of women today.

This presentation is part of the cultural activities of PETROPERU, which include -during 2019- important exhibitions; publication of winning works of the 2018 Copé awards and other works of the Copé Publishing House; sponsorship and participation in the International Book Fair in Lima; narrative and poetry workshops, among others.
