Students from remote communities in the country receive support from Petroperú
Petroperú, within the framework of its “Educating for Tomorrow” program, delivered more than 33 thousand packs of school supplies to students from 512 schools located in native communities, populated centers and hamlets neighboring the North Peruvian Oil Pipeline (ONP).
The delivery took place in the three sectors of the ONP, such as the North Branch Oil Pipeline (ORN), as well as Section I and Section II, thus covering the area of influence of Petroperú in the regions of Loreto, Amazonas, Cajamarca, Lambayeque and Piura.
Both teachers and parents highlighted the importance of continuing and maintaining this social program, through which Petroperú supports and contributes to the education process of students, who, in this way, have access to tools that favor their learning, in addition to contributing to the economy of families that lack economic resources to buy educational material.
This school supplies delivery program is part of the Jinkay educational project, which Petroperú promotes in the native communities of the Morona River basin, Loreto region, in order to strengthen the education of primary and secondary school students.
In this way, Petroperú carries out its operational activities with a focus on social responsibility and shared value for the benefit of the populations neighboring its facilities.
