Strategic alliance between PETROPERÚ and the Minsa to serve Amazonian children
PETROPERÚ, in a strategic alliance with the Directorate of Indigenous or Native Peoples of the Ministry of Health (Minsa), the Regional Directorate of Health of Loreto and the Universidad Peruana Unión, started the “Interventions Program with Health Agents in Early Childhood and Family : PATA DAKÚ (HAPPY FAMILY) ”, which seeks to optimize treatment and make changes in the health care of minors, avoiding putting the well-being and health of said population at risk.
This program will promote and strengthen healthy practices in authorities and families of 43 communities in the provinces of Dátem del Marañón and Alto Amazonas, in the Loreto region, placing emphasis on health care in the framework of the current COVID-19 pandemic , as well as orienting mothers on nutrition through training and awareness-raising for community leaders. The program benefits the residents of Nueva Santa Rosa, Sinchi Roca, Chapis, Félix Flores, Nuevo Jerusalem and Saramiriza.
This important program began with a virtual meeting in which representatives of the Dátem del Marañón Health Network participated and, representing the state company, were Tomás Flores, Manager of the Department of Social Development and Javier Díaz Barrantes, Manager of the Department of Community Relations. Both highlighted the importance of managing projects that -through strategic alliances- guarantee a greater involvement of the state with the most vulnerable populations of the Amazon.
In this way, PETROPERU ratifies its commitment to contribute to the development of the communities adjacent to its main operations.
