Station 5 of the North Peruvian Pipeline is liberated
Yesterday, July 18, Station 5 of the North Peruvian Pipeline (ONP) was released, following the efforts made by the Public Ministry, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM), the Ministry of Energy and Mines and PETROPERU. The industrial facility was occupied by around 400 residents since July 6.
A technical team from PETROPERU, together with the Prosecutor's Office, has been carrying out the evaluations, in order to determine the state of the industrial installation after 11 days of occupation. After this procedure, an authorization plan will be established that allows restarting the pumping work in the mentioned Station.
PETROPERU reiterates its concern to permanently promote respectful dialogue within the framework of the law, for the sake of social and economic development of the country.
