Statement 09-2018

In view of the versions that are circulating around the execution of the Detail, Supply and Construction Engineering Service (EPC) of the Auxiliary Units and Complementary Works (UA & TC) for the Talara Refinery Modernization Project (PMRT), PETROPERU informs public opinion of the following:

After the signing of the Award Contract, the Cobra-SCL UA & TC Consortium responsible for the process, coordination has been ongoing for the actions prior to the start of the construction of the auxiliary units that will be part of the new Talara Refinery.

The Auxiliary Units and Complementary Works are part of the PMRT, therefore, they are subject to the Environmental Impact Study (EIA) approved for the integral execution of this energy megaproject, through the Directorial Resolution N ° 087-2011 MEM / AAE. In that sense, caring for the environment and the hiring of labor, will be done according to what is established in this Environmental Instrument.

PETROPERU repeats its commitment to ensure that the processes of hiring personnel gives priority to the Talara locals who have with the skills, profiles and abilities of the positions required by the different tasks needed by the megaproject.

Likewise, PETROPERU will continue to inform in a clear, timely and transparent manner about the responsible execution of this megaproject that will allow the country to have cleaner fuels that contribute to improving the country's air quality.
