As part of the final phase of the commissioning of the New Talara Refinery (NRT), during the next few days and for a limited time, according to the start-up schedule, the flare of the new refining complex will present intermittent flares of larger size, as a result of the tests of the relief and exhaust systems of the different teams. Likewise, sounds will be perceived as a result of the emission of water vapor used as displacement fluid in the deep conversion and sulfuric acid units.

It is important to highlight that these activities, as well as the events associated with the flare and sounds, are expected situations, totally normal and necessary in any start-up process of refineries around the world, which are described in the procedures and manuals. of their operations, which will guarantee a correct and safe operation of the NRT.
