In relation to the journalistic reports in the sense that there have been serious damages in the facilities of the New Talara Refinery, as a consequence of the heavy rainfall registered today in the city of Talara, Petroperú makes the following clarifications:

  1. The activities of the New Talara Refinery (NRT), linked to its gradual and progressive start-up process, have been carried out normally, with its own specialized personnel; as well as that of contractor companies.

  3. The work to complete the cleaning work continues and is expected to conclude in the next few hours. For this, the NRT Rainfall Plan was immediately activated, which considers the formation of a multidisciplinary team made up of civil engineers and others, who have been working hard fulfill their mission.
  4. It should be noted that both the Processing Units and other parts of the infrastructure of the refinery complex are completely clear, thanks to the proper functioning of the drainage systems located in the NRT.
