Sport workshops for children of Villa El Salvador promoted by PETROPERU came to an end

After eight months of training, about one hundred children of Human Settlements (AAHH) of Villa El Salvador (VES), near our Conchán Refinery, successfully completed their preparation at the PETROPERU Sports Academy, where they learned the techniques and rules of football and volleyball, thus promoting healthy recreation and good relations between neighbors.

During the closing ceremony of the classes, the children demonstrated everything they had learned in a few demonstrative matches against the invited teams, the Olimpia Matellini de Chorrillos Volleyball Club and the soccer team of the Educational Institution 7236 Max Uhle of VES.

In the workshops, which were divided into women's volleyball and men's soccer, the boys also developed fellowship and teamwork, as well as demonstrated discipline, responsibility and punctuality. In addition, a better relationship was generated with the parents, who were concerned about encouraging their children to practice sports.

Nelly Huamaní, Deputy Manager of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth of the Municipality of VES, highlighted the contribution of the company promoting these recreational initiatives that form values.

With the realization of these sports activities, PETROPERU promotes integration and a culture of peace, achieving a better coexistence among the neighbors close to its facilities.
