Specialists guide Talara locals on issues of health, social coexistence and caring for the environment

The residents of the province of Talara are kept informed about health, civility and care of the environment, among other topics of great interest, thanks to the virtual talks that have been carried out as part of the free training program implemented by the Office of Information and Citizen Participation (OIPC) of the Talara Refinery Modernization Project (PMRT).

Through the "Good Citizen" initiative, five virtual sessions will be held on topics of common interest such as: prevention of COVID-19, caring for the environment, responsible use of technology, neighborhood organization and work commitment. The next talk called "My commitment to the environment" will be held on April 21 at 3:00 pm. m. and it will feature a presentation by the engineer Adriana Ghersi, specialist in solid waste segregation.

For its part, the "Cuidarte" (“Caring for you”) program aims to inform the population about the prevention of diseases typical of the region such as: skin conditions caused by ultraviolet rays, anemia, oral health, among others. The next session will take place on April 30 at 3:00 p.m. and the topic to be discussed will be "The care of mental health and that of my family", which will be in charge of the psychologist Norka Ruiz Bravo.

In accordance with the ICPO calendar of activities, this year the “Familias en Acción” (“Families in Action”) initiative will also be launched with the aim of guiding the population in preventing violence in the home. Similarly, the planning of new programs related to capacity building in employability, soft skills, computer tools, and others will continue.

To participate in the free talks that are held as part of the Community Relations Plan of the PMRT Environmental Impact Study, those interested must register through the OIPC Informa Facebook page. Likewise, they will be able to stay informed through the website www.oipc.com.pe and the radio program OIPC Informa via Radio Marilú 105.3FM, from Monday to Friday at 9:00 a.m.
