Sewing workshop closed in Maypuco, organized by PETROPERU
The Sewing Workshop organized by PETROPERU had its closing ceremony, with the participation of 30 women from the town of Maypuco, Urarinas district, in Loreto. 15 sewing machines were delivered, along with 3 work tables for cutting and pattern making, and sewing tools for the benefit of the participants and the general population.
After three months of training, the women learned and/or improved their knowledge of strokes, measurements, pattern making, garment making, etc., being able to make quality garments for their family and even to start a small business.
The Sub Manager of Social Management of Petroperu, Eng. Juan Angulo, in the closing ceremony held on May 5, congratulated the participation of the ladies of the town and highlighted the qualities of the workshop. "This course has great value, because at the same time it allowed to develop their skills and creativity, improves their production and this is a great option to contribute to the household economy," he said.
The representatives of the local authorities, neighborhood leaders and the population in general who attended the ceremony, congratulated the action, encouraging women to increase their productivity, which will result in the development of the populated center.
The success achieved in this workshop is a stimulus for its repetition in other communities of the Amazon, as part of the Social Management actions developed by PETROPERU.
