Schools receive educational material for the benefit of more than nine thousand students from Talara
As part of its voluntary Social Responsibility commitment, Petroperú delivered 341 packages with educational material to 22 public educational institutions in the Pariñas and La Brea districts, in the Piura province of Talara.
In this way, the company contributes to the regular basic education of more than nine thousand students at the primary level, by allowing teachers to carry out their pedagogical work and the contents proposed in the national curriculum in the classroom, with the necessary supplies for educational didactics.
In Pariñas, the educational communities of the schools benefited: Our Lady of Lourdes, José Gálvez Egúsquiza, Máximo Heraclio Cornejo Pacora, Monsignor Luis Pacheco Wilson, Santa Rosa de Lima, Domingo Savio, San Martín de Porres, Santa Elena, María Reyna de la Paz, Emblemática 15513, San Sebastián, María Reiche, Jorge Chávez, FAP Colonel Víctor Maldonado Begazo, Casas Negras, Jabonillal, General Felipe Santiago Salaverry, José Cayetano Heredia and Santa Lucía.
Petroperú also delivered educational material to the authorities of the educational institutions Cristo Rey, José Antonio Encinas Franco, Elena Emperatriz Arévalo de Martínez and 14908 from La Brea.
It is important to mention that, in the last fifteen years, this initiative from Petroperú, coordinated with the authorities of the UGEL-Talara Local Educational Management Unit, has benefited more than 132,200 students from the oil province.
Educating for tomorrow
In addition to the annual delivery of educational material, Petroperú has provided technical education to 306 outstanding students from Talara, investing more than four million soles.
Likewise, it is committed to raising environmental awareness and improving waste management in Pariñas and La Brea, for this purpose during 2022 it led the Talara Recicla environmental contest in which 14 educational institutions from Pariñas participated and which will soon reward nine of them with 62 laptops. In La Brea, this year it has delivered five clean points for the segregation of solid waste to the same number of educational institutions and supported the II Recycling Marathon led by the district authority.
