PETROPERU, as part of its activities related to the communities surrounding its operations, developed the workshop “On the North Peruvian Pipeline Route, knowing about hydrocarbon management”, with the participation of a group of fifth-year high school students of the Educational Institution of Public Management in Sciences and Humanities of San Lorenzo del DATEM del Marañon, in Loreto.

The activity began on December 1 at Station 5 of the PETROPERU North Peruvian Pipeline, where students received a talk about its operation and importance in the distribution of hydrocarbons. The visit was supported by the Ministry of Interior and the Training Resources Committee (CAREC) of the Ministry of Energy and Mines.

Continuing the tour of the Company's facilities, the young people arrived in Talara where they received an exhibition on the Talara Refinery Modernization Project, the most important megaproject in the country, as well as a guided tour of its operational area.

Finally, the delegation arrived in Lima where it toured several public institutions such as the Government Palace, the Ministry of Interior and the headquarters of the state oil company in San Isidro, where the activity was closed.

This initiative seeks to reinforce knowledge about the hydrocarbon industry among students and is framed in the Social Management Plan of PETROPERU, which seeks to strengthen relations with interest groups neighboring its facilities.
