Residents benefit from Petroperú initiatives through multiple projects

Petroperú presented its initiatives, implemented in the province of Talara, to improve nutrition and contribute to the achievement of food security during the 9th decentralized session of the Special Multiparty Commission for Monitoring, Inspection and Control of the Zero Hunger Program of the Congress of the Republic.

Before the session, held in the city of Talara and chaired by the president of that special commission, Hilda Portero López, it was reported that the state oil company has designed and implemented initiatives that seek to encourage, promote and promote projects that improve the living conditions of its inhabitants; as is the case of the “Entrepreneurial Women Program”, in which almost 400 women from Pariñas and La Brea receive technical training in business management, business formalization and entrepreneurship fairs.

Likewise, local pregnant mothers are accompanied in the development of the health, both physical and emotional, of their children, from birth to 12 months, thus promoting a healthy birth and optimal care.

Other ongoing projects are “Fishing with the Future”, aimed at fishermen and workers at the Talara artisanal fishing landing site. “Paremos la Olla” is another of Petroperú's ambitious programs that seeks to implement 20 soup kitchens and 80 Glass of Milk programs, in La Brea and Pariñas.

Also, through the implementation - in Pariñas - of the dining room of the Municipal Office for Attention to People with Disabilities, the conditions of care for its users will be improved, simultaneously providing them with biomechanical equipment for those who present some physical motor disability.
