Rebooting activities at the Cashcaño camp at the 206 Km of the Northern Detour Oil Pipeline

Today at 6:15 a.m, a group of people stopped the cleaning that has being carrying out at the 206 Km of the Northern Detour Oil Pipeline.

After talking to the leaders and representatives of the native communities in charge of the mining area of Morona river, they have stopped the protest of the workers who have voluntarily left the logistic camp of Chashacaño in the early hours. Therein at 4:10 p.m, more than 500 workers have reincorporated their tasks in the area of the incident as nothing had happened. 

PETROPERU has called the leaders and representatives of the native communities in charge of the mining area of Morona river a meeting this 27 of April, which will be held in Puerto Alegria for the purpose of reaffirming the compromises of both parties.

PETROPERU keeps a constant communication with the native communities for the sake of coming to agreements that would help improve the life quality of the population of their concern. The company will continue doing their best to provide the local settlers access to work opportunities.
