Pucallpa Refinery is operated by Petróleos de la Selva (MAPLE)

In view of recent journalistic reports about the management of PETROPERU in the Ucayali region, the following information is provided to the public:

• PETROPERÚ is not in charge of the operation of the Pucallpa Refinery, so it DOES NOT ACCEPT ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE BUSINESS PROBLEMS OF PETROLEOS DE LA SELVA (MAPLE). The latter is the one that determines autonomously its policies and commercial activities.
• PETROPERU also denies the shortage of fuel in the Ucayali region, because through the Pucallpa Plant distribution is done with total regularity in quantity, quality, and according to its pricing policy and complying with the current legal framework and good corporate practices, having also contingency plans to guarantee the supply of the product in Pucallpa in case of temporary closures of land roads accessing the city.
• PETROPERU reminds the public that the contract for the supply of crude oil with CEPSA is not exclusive, so said operator is free to commercialize its product with third parties.
• PETROPERU sympathizes with the MAPLE workers and their families because of the situation they are going through and wishes that they find a quick solution.
• PETROPERU is an ally for the development of the Ucayali region and is committed to its growth, supplying its fuels to locations where other sellers have no presence.
