Public servants of the Amazon reinforce knowledge in public management
Officials and public servants of five provincial and district municipalities of the Loreto and Amazonas regions continue successfully their participation in the Comprehensive Program in Public Management developed by PETROPERÚ, with the support of the Center for Consulting and Integrated Services of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (INNOVAPUCP).
The program, which seeks to develop a comprehensive technical assistance service and strengthen the capacities of public servants of local governments in the areas of influence of the North Peruvian Pipeline (ONP), began last October, with the participation of municipal officials. Provinces of Condorcanqui and Datem del Marañón, as well as the districts of Imaza, Manseriche and Urarinas.
The theoretical sessions and practical workshops have been carried out virtually, by a multidisciplinary team of specialists from INNOVAPUCP. The first four modules of the program contributed to consolidating knowledge in the following topics: Institutional Organization, Strategic Planning in the public sector, Management and Budgeting for Results.
To date, the fifth module has already begun, which will address issues related to public investment and optimization investments, marginal expansion, replacement and rehabilitation.
The Comprehensive Public Management Program is part of the actions that PETROPERÚ carries out as part of the ONP's High Impact Strategy for Social Management, in favor of strengthening provincial and district governance in the Loreto and Amazon regions.
