Prosecutor's Office initiates a preliminary investigation into the seizure of Morona Station
PETROPERÚ addresses the public opinion to report the following:
- Yesterday, Saturday, March 13, the Datem del Marañón Provincial Criminal Prosecutor's Office, headed by Dr. Segundo Mariano Román Fasabi, Provincial Deputy Prosecutor, ordered the start of a preliminary procedure at the Police Headquarters for the seizure of the Morona Station of the The Norperuano Pipeline, located in the Morona district, Loreto, by a group of people from the Fernando Rosas community; who are holding 10 workers against their will, 3 of them from the state oil company.
- The people kidnapped inside the station are: Domingo Calderón, Víctor Castillo, José Nolorbe (PETROPERÚ staff), Marco Ramírez Castro (doctor, from the Cosulting Adviserv company), Aron del Aguila Huiñapi, Rubén Cunaype Rengifo, Segundo Gonzales Mermao ( company Halcones), Pascual Quispe Berrú, Remberto Rojas, Prudencia Peña (food, lodging and laundry services).
- We call on the occupants to release the detained persons and to open a space for dialogue; above all, considering that most of their demands are contemplated in the Plan for the Closing of Social Gaps agreed between the national government and indigenous organizations in the Peruvian Amazon.
