Production of Lot I reaches desired production level in its first month of operation
30 days after assuming the operation of Lot I, located between the districts of La Brea and Pariñas in the province of Talara, PETROPERÚ has managed to reach optimal and desired production levels of around 490 BOPD (barrels of oil per day) and 2.8 MMCFD (million cubic feet per day) of natural gas.
This important performance demonstrates the experience in the management of assets in the Peruvian Northwest of the PETROPERÚ team, who on December 27 received an operation with only 160 active wells out of 190, with an oil production of 332 BOPD, a lower condition than the one that came developing in the last two months of his contract the company UNNA (former Graña y Montero Petrolera).
The operation of this lot is a first and symbolic beginning of the return of the state oil company to oil exploitation. For this, it has qualified and experienced personnel for oil exploitation tasks, also to be developed soon in Lots 192 and 64, in Loreto. In this sense, it has an Exploration and Production Management with sufficient capacity to take charge of these activities that mean an advance towards the vertical integration of PETROPERÚ.
In the coming weeks, the start of well services activities in Lot I is projected, which will allow maintaining or improving the productivity of oil wells, ensuring compliance with business objectives.
