President of the Board of Directors of Petroperú presented his resignation

Petroperú informs that today, October 27, 2022, Humberto Campodónico Sánchez presented his resignation from the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petróleos del Perú - Petroperú S.A.

During his administration, which began on April 2, a series of actions were carried out to regain the confidence of the financial market and other interest groups, as well as to guarantee the sustainability of Petroperú and continue fulfilling its strategic role of supplying the market. fuel throughout the country.

Along these lines, the audited financial statements for the 2021 financial year were obtained with a favorable opinion, as well as the consent of the bondholders and CESCE for the extension of the presentation of the financial statements. Likewise, during his administration, a proposed bill was approved for the strengthening and appointment of its directors, based on objective criteria and through transparent and auditable procedures, guaranteeing their independence.

In the same way, priority was given to the next commissioning and start of commercial operation of the New Talara Refinery, scheduled for the month of December, with the aim of once again being an important refiner in the country, substantially improving profitability and company liquidity; as well as continue with the progressive return to oil production activity, having participation in the lots in the northwest.
