President of PETROPERU explained that the cost of the PMRT is us$ 4,700 million

The President of the Board of PETROPERU, Dr. Carlos Paredes Lanatta, gave a presentation today at the Peru Energy event, entitled "The PMRT: Everything you wanted to know and did not dare to ask". The event had the presence of the General Manager of the state oil company, Eng. Esteban Bertarelli Bustamante, as well as other officials of the company.

Paredes Lanatta made a broad presentation on this important mega project, specifying that its total cost is approximately US$ 4.7 billion, not including the interests of the pre-operational phase. "From the strictly financial point of view, continuing with the PMRT is the correct decision; since it allows to reach a profitability of between 15 and 20%", he emphasized.

In this sense, its presentation began with an analysis of the hydrocarbon market, continued with a description, scope and benefits of the project; It then went on to its organizational design, highlighted the dispute settlement with Técnicas Reunidas and concluded with the financial aspects and the cost of it.

Finally, he announced the strengthening of the management team of the PMRT for its efficient completion in cost and time. He also indicated that the sale of auxiliary units is being evaluated to reduce the cost of indebtedness of the company. It offered "a lot of work, transparency and rationality".

On other issues, the senior official said that PETROPERU will be looking for a partner to take over lot 192 in December of this year. Likewise, he mentioned that it works jointly with the companies of the hydrocarbon sector that operate in the Forest to implement business strategies that allow strengthening the North Peruvian Pipeline as a fundamental tool of the State's energy policy.
