President of Congress and delegation of congressmen visit the Iquitos Refinery
Last Saturday, January 27, a delegation of 10 congressmen of the Republic, headed by the President of the National Congress, Mr. Luis Galarreta Velarde, made a working visit to Iquitos Refinery, where they were received by the Sub Manager of that industrial plant , Eng. Oscar Vera Gargurevich and officials of PETROPERU.
They participated in an exhibition by Eng. Vera, referring to the main processes, challenges and scenarios of the Operation, as well as the most important projects that are being developed in the Iquitos Refinery and the corporate certifications of the Company. The official also highlighted the good results achieved thanks to the creative and operational capabilities of the workers of the Company, in addition to the social projects that are being implemented in harmony with the communities neighboring the facilities.
The attendees toured the plant, after which they publicly expressed their gratitude for the opportunity provided and the experiences shared on this occasion.
The congressmen who participated in the visit -members of the Energy Commission- were Carlos Dominguez, Gilmer Trujillo, Alberto Quintanilla Chacon, Modesto Figueroa Minaya, Alejandra Aramayo, Martires Lizana Santos, Glides Ushiñahua Huasanga, Juan Carlos Yuyes Meza and Juan Carlos Del Aguila, in addition to Mr. Galarreta. They were accompanied by eight advisers and other officials, totaling 37 people.
The visit was made within the framework of the Public Hearings of this working group in the city of Iquitos, whose objective is to collect initiatives, comments and contributions on the Hydrocarbons Law and the law projects of the Amazon.
