Piurans enjoyed classic concert offered by PETROPERU
The Piura community enjoyed the classical music concert offered by PETROPERU, as part of the celebrations for its 50 years of institutional life and in compliance with its commitment to decentralize and disseminate culture. The show was held in the central Ovalo Grau of this city.
On this occasion, in alliance with the Philharmonic Society of Lima, he presented to the Nueva Lima Chamber Orchestra, with the aim of continuing the promotion of decentralized concerts that include the visit of renowned exponents of classical music worldwide, as well as promising figures that have been attracting the attention of international critics.
In addition, PETROPERU aims to promote new values, which is why it invited the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Sechura, to be part of this concert of classical music, which was recognized by the authorities and public of this province for its contribution to the Piurana culture development.
The intervention of Marnix Wilem Steffen, director of the New Lima Chamber Orchestra, to tell the story of the song and the great composers, generated empathy with the audience that was captivated by the presentation of works such as Divertimento in D major de Mozart, Vivaldi's Grosso Concert in D minor, the Holberg Suite by Grieg; as well as La Flor de la Canela de Chabuca Granda, the Andante Religioso de Morera, among others. At the end of the presentation, they offered the seafaring San Miguel de Piura, which the public accompanied with palms and contagious enthusiasm.
On the other hand, the presentation of the young values shown as string ensemble of the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Sechura, captivated the public who thanked that presentation with loud applause. This Symphony is made up of students from different locations in Sechura and is directed by the professional musician, Virgilio Eche Morales.
It should be noted that this activity is part of the PETROPERU Cultural Management Plan that aims to boost Peruvian and universal musical expression for the benefit of our stakeholders; in this case of the community of Piura.
