Pipeline celebrated Christmas with 14 thousand children of communities
PETROPERU, in compliance with its Social Management Plan, has been developing the celebration for the Christmas holidays with more than 14 thousand children from communities and populated centers near the North Peruvian Pipeline (ONP).
Through a set of activities, we seek to celebrate these special dates. In that line, the children were entertained with a Christmas Show that was accompanied with the delivery of small cakes and refreshing drinks for all attendees.
The activities, coordinated with the local authorities, were carried out in all the ONP stations, located in Loreto, Amazonas, Cajamarca, Lambayeque and Piura, where children from the communities and populated centers closest to those facilities were invited.
To children from more remote communities who could not be present at the celebration, PETROPERU staff took the toys to their places.
Every year, PETROPERU celebrates Christmas with its smallest neighbors, which is part of the actions foreseen in the “Waking Up Smiles” program whose objective is to maintain and strengthen good relations with Amazonian communities.
