PETROPERU will train women of Talara in productive workshops

As part of the Community Relations Plan (PRC) of the Talara Refinery Modernization Project (PMRT), PETROPERU has been calling on women from Talara to participate in the productive workshops that will be held soon and that aim to promote local economic initiatives.

There will be a total of 140 women who will take the practical courses of cooking aide, baking and pastry, textile printing, crafts, cosmetology, crochet and marine crafts.

The program will last for thirteen months, in which the women selected in the aforementioned courses will be trained, as well as in the creation and formalization of Micro and Small Enterprises (MYPES), which will be constituted with a 'seed capital' and they will be monitored permanently to guarantee their development in the local market and allowing them to generate their own income.

Registration for the participant selection process will be held until April 20 at the Office of Information and Citizen Participation (OIPC), located on Avenida C S/N, in front of the PETROPERU Social Club, from 8:00 a.m. 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

Local women who are between 18 and 55 years of age, with a minimum of a high school education and who are currently unemployed, informal workers or underemployed, can take part in the selection process. All those registered who meet the requirements and have time available to participate regularly in the classes, will be called to the selection process of the 140 beneficiaries of this program.
